Phillip Seymour Hoffman

I just saw Phillip Seymour Hoffman - the second time this month. He was trying to get a taxi in midtown and he wasn't having any luck. That makes me feel a little better knowing that even celebrities have trouble getting cabs. The first time I saw him was at West Side Story. He asked me where his seat was and I told him as much as I loved to help him, I didn't know where his seat was.

He seemed like a good guy. I don't think people realize what a big star he is because he was incredibly unencumbered by fans. I understand if people don't recognize him from his theater work or the smaller films he's done but he was Mission Impossible III, which I've never seen, but that was a huge movie.

philip stole a cab from me in front of my apartment in soho. as i was about to open the taxi door,he stepped in front of me from out of nowhere and let his lady friend in. the then climbed in after. as he was getting in, he looked at me with a blank expression. to my surprise, some years later my friend had the exact same thing happen to him. good thing i'm a fan :/
