Jon is riding my uncle's bicycle along the river path, Max is napping upstairs and I'm watching Black Swan dubbed in French. It's the middle of the movie and Natalie Portman is starting to crack under the pressure of having ot dance the lead. I always forget what a good movie this is.

It’s 7:20 am in France. And as usual I am the first one awake. The baby is sleeping in a very comfortable crib in the room next to ours. And my husband is lying asleep in the bed where I am sitting and writing this entry. It’s been quite a journey but we have finally arrived. Our trip was very difficult. Well, part of it was very difficult. Max surprised me by sleeping on the About Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05125993673058301634noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5653676.post-72060562268322274762012-05-13T06:13:00.001-04:002012-05-13T06:13:56.122-04:00Central Park ZooJon and I thought it would be a good idea to take to the Central Park Zoo. It was Saturday and the weather was beautiful -after several days of rain. Unfortunately, everyone else had the same idea. When we got to the zoo, the line was 50 people deep. I don't know what we were thinking. Of course, on the first warm day in May, people would want to take their children into the zoo.About Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05125993673058301634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5653676.post-856991773006015292012-04-27T05:08:00.001-04:002012-04-27T05:08:58.019-04:00A BookBeing a stay-at-home mom is very hard work. I find myself getting lost in the details of the day. Yesterday, on my fourth walk outside with Max snuggled in his stroller, I found myself walking into the library and drifting over to the NEW ARRIVALS section, where I picked up a copy of a Jennifer Wiener book. Thrilled to finally have the space in my brain to actually read a book, I got into bed at About Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05125993673058301634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5653676.post-41085529787145650362012-04-07T04:52:00.001-04:002012-04-07T05:00:32.872-04:00Catching upThe last time I entered a post on my blog, we were experiencing one of the worst winters on record. More than a year later, we are experiencing one of the mildest winters on record. It's amazing how much can change in a year.
Since my last post, we met our son Max. Max is now 13 months old and is starting to really develop as a little person. And boy does he have a lot of personality.

Tomorrow, my goal for the day is to finish the laundry before the snow comes. Snow doesn't stop me from doing anything but it sure is difficult pushing a shopping cart through slush and snow.
So. My two least favorite things will happen on the same day - snow and laundry.About Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05125993673058301634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5653676.post-55753263000760167612011-01-13T17:01:00.001-05:002011-01-13T17:02:35.977-05:00The CobblerTwo winters ago, my mother-in-law bought me a fantastic pair of winter boots. Two weeks ago, I wore those boots to contend with weather. My feet were getting wet and I couldn't understand why. At first, I believed that snow was getting in through the tops, by my ankles. We had some pretty deep snow. But two days later, I figured out that the soles were worn out and water was getting in through About Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05125993673058301634noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5653676.post-65597781777707133162011-01-10T23:04:00.001-05:002011-01-11T08:53:14.985-05:00Hoarders - Season FinaleThis may be the first time ever, that I have felt compelled to watch a show and blog at the same
I am watching the season finale of Hoarders. The focus of this show are two animal hoarders. One hoards cats and the other hoards rats.
I can understand the cat hoarder. While I no longer love cats the way I used to, I still like them. They are somewhat lovable. The snow from our last storm was almost gone. And now it's snowing again. If the weather continues as predicted we're only getting at most 5 inches. Seriously, they aren't real housewives, which I understand is the irony of the show but who cares? There's no way that this type of reality television reflects directly on my life. This is not an example of art holding mirror up to society.
But I heard that this season Kim Richards is on the show. Jon and I have been working hard at making sure there are no weeds, no morning glory and no unwanted insects. Sometimes, it seems futile because Mother Nature seems to have an endless supply of all of the above. We've been trying to resuscitate the lawn both front and back. Another big fat full day of theater. I'm still working at the Longacre. The show is still good and I continue to enjoy La Cage Aux Folles the more I watch it.
My break was sort of exciting for actor spotting. "Good Morning" from Singing in the Rain is playing over the loudspeaker. Now that I'm listening to the song a little more closely, I think it is Judy Garland's version from some movie she was in with Mickey Rooney. I've discovered various places where you can latch on to the internet. Right now I'm sitting in the lobby of the Edison Hotel. Whenever I run out of places to go or things to do between shows on Saturdays, I reliably run to the Edison Hotel. The idea behind buying it - motivating myself to write. Did it work? At first it did, but then I started to get distracted by the Internet. In almost every place I take my netbook, I have found a way to connect to the Internet.
But now, at this moment, I am blogging in a public place (that isn't the Internet cafe) for the only the second time since Thursday About Mehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05125993673058301634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5653676.post-74593899642219897912010-08-13T17:39:00.000-04:002010-08-13T17:39:54.240-04:00Just Another DayThis entry is being written for the purpose of keeping me true to my word. I don't have much to say. It's been so long I forgot how to report on my life. But I'll tell you this.
Jon and I did the laundry together. I hate doing it so much, that I need him there as a crutch in order to get it done. He's really supportive and I totally appreciate that.
How much do you hate doing laundry?
